This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the MixAppXpander mobile application and network utility (the "App").

• Free version or App Store purchases: We do not collect, store, or share any of your personal data.
• Non-App Store purchases: We only store licence and subscription data required for licence management and activation verification.

1a. App Store Version – No Data Collection

If you use the free version of MixAppXpander or purchase through the Apple App Store:

• We do not collect personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, device identifiers)
• We do not track your usage or behaviour
• We do not require you to create an account or log in
• We do not transmit any telemetry, usage data, or analytics to remote servers
• We do not store any data persistently beyond temporary network communication
• Licence activation (if applicable) is handled entirely by Apple

Your mixing desk data, configurations, and settings remain entirely on your device and local network. We have no access to any of this information.

1b. Other Version – Limited Licence Data Storage

If you purchase outside of the Apple App Store, we store only the minimum data required to manage your licence and subscriptions. This includes:

Data Collected and Stored

• Licence Information: Unique licence ID, activation keys, purchase date, licence status, and expiry dates
• Customer Identifier: Your customer ID (used solely to link your licence to our payment provider)
• Subscription Details: Subscription ID, billing cycle, current period end date, and renewal status (if applicable)
• Device Activation Data: Machine fingerprints (non-personally identifiable hashes) and device names to verify licence activations and enforce single-device licence limits
• Event Timestamps: Creation dates, last check-in timestamps, and deactivation dates for auditing and support purposes

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identifiable information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, location)
• Your mixing desk data, configurations, or settings
• Audio or networking traffic through the application
• Usage analytics or telemetry beyond licence activation events
• Device identifiers (UDID, serial numbers, etc.)

How We Use This Data

• Verify that your licence is active and valid
• Manage licence activations and enforce device limits (e.g., one-device or multi-device plans)
• Allow you to deactivate and move your licence to another device
• Process refunds and manage subscription renewals with the payment provider
• Provide customer support if you contact us regarding your licence

2. How We Secure Your Data

For Other Purchases:

• All licence data is stored securely in encrypted database systems
• Activation keys are hashed and salted to prevent unauthorised access
• Device fingerprints are one-way hashed, making them irreversible and non-personally identifiable
• We do not store your payment information (payment processing is handled entirely by our payment provider)
• Access to stored data is restricted to authorised systems and personnel only

For All Versions: Your mixing desk configurations and audio data never pass through our systems.

3. Local Network Access

To function, MixAppXpander requires permission to access your device's local network. This permission is used exclusively to facilitate real-time communication between:

• Your host device running MixAppXpander
• The connected mixing console (e.g., Allen & Heath SQ series)
• Other mobile devices running control apps on the same network

Important: Audio control data routed through MixAppXpander never leaves your local network. We do not have access to your network traffic, mixing desk configurations, or any data passing through the application.

4. Third-Party Services

For all versions: MixAppXpander does not use any third-party services for:

• Analytics or tracking (beyond Other's payment processing)
• Crash reporting
• Advertising or ad networks
• Authorization or authentication services
• Cloud storage or remote backups
• Performance monitoring

For non-App Store purchases only: Our payment provider processes payment information according to their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Because MixAppXpander does not collect any personal data from any users, we inherently do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. The application is designed for professional audio environments and use cases.

For non-App Store purchases: When you deactivate a licence or request a refund, the following happens:

• Your licence and activation records are marked as inactive in our system
• Device fingerprints associated with deactivated licences are retained only for fraud prevention (6 months minimum)
• Your subscription data is retained for 12 months for accounting and dispute resolution purposes
• After these periods, your data may be deleted or anonymised
